pausePing ("we," "us," or "our") operates the pausePing SMS service accessible at pauseping.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide when you sign up for our service.
2. Information We Collect
When you sign up for pausePing, we collect:
- Name — used to personalize your daily message
- Mobile phone number — used to deliver your SMS message
- Date of birth — used to calculate your life clock time
- Biological sex — used to estimate life expectancy for the calculation
- Country — used to determine regional life expectancy data
- Time zone — used to deliver your message at the correct local time
We do not collect payment information, social media profiles, location data, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Calculate your personal life clock time
- Deliver one SMS message per day at that time
- Personalize the greeting in your message with your name
- Maintain your subscription and process unsubscribe requests
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose other than delivering the service you signed up for.
4. SMS Communications
By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box during sign-up, you agree to receive automated recurring SMS text messages from pausePing. Message frequency is one (1) message per day. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We use the following third-party services to operate pausePing:
- Twilio — SMS delivery infrastructure. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely to send your daily message. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Supabase — Database hosting for subscriber records. Data is stored in encrypted, access-controlled databases. Supabase's privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy.
- Amazon Web Services — Application hosting infrastructure.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any other third parties.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your subscription is active. When you unsubscribe by replying STOP or by contacting us directly, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and restricted access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
