Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up for pausePing and providing your mobile number, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not sign up for the service.
2. Description of Service
pausePing is an SMS subscription service that delivers one (1) automated text message per day to your mobile phone number. The message contains a motivational or meaningful quote, delivered at a time calculated from your date of birth and life expectancy. The service is provided on an as-is basis.
3. SMS Messaging Terms
By signing up, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated SMS text messages from pausePing at the mobile number you provide. This consent is not required as a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency: 1 message per day
- To cancel: Reply STOP to any message at any time
- For help: Reply HELP or email hello@pauseping.com
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan
- Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
After replying STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. You may re-subscribe at any time by visiting pauseping.com.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service. By signing up, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number provided. You are responsible for ensuring your mobile carrier permits SMS subscriptions.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when signing up
- Notify us if your mobile number changes
- Use the service only for lawful, personal purposes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service
6. Intellectual Property
The pausePing name, logo, website design, and service concept are the intellectual property of pausePing. Quotes delivered via SMS are sourced from third-party public domain or licensed sources and are not owned by pausePing. All rights in those quotes remain with their respective authors or rights holders.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that messages will be delivered at the exact scheduled time. SMS delivery is subject to carrier availability and network conditions outside our control.
pausePing does not provide medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice. Quotes delivered through the service are for inspirational purposes only.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, pausePing and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for a free service is $0).
9. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
